I know that with all the hoopla about Jesus and His teaching the facts often get obscured; and people equally forget about Jesus’ human side what with Son of God and all that, you know. But the whole point of God sending His Son down to personally clear up the incredible misunderstandings human beings had invented and disseminated about Love, Wisdom and how to treat each other, and to treat animals (which was of course of considerable and even greater concern to we dogs) was to make sure His Son was human and that other human beings would thereby maybe, just maybe, pay attention to Him.

Because while it was true that human beings only sometimes paid attention to one another it was certain that human beings NEVER paid ANY attention to God and the surest way to get human beings to not only ignore common sense but to even flagrantly go against it was to have God tell them something, because when He did that they would immediately say to themselves, “Well, crap, that’s just God’s opinion after all, not mine, and I will deal with Him later if I feel like it,” or thoughts to that effect. Whereas if some horse’s ass of a human being told them some utter nonsense that pleased them they would immediately swallow it whole and crow to others around them about how fabulously great it was. Human beings it should be remarked upon are prone to thinking the most absolutely stupid things are fabulously great. This happened so often that even to God it was depressing and He had to create a cosmological therapist to consult with on the matter.
